AutoGC Data Collected by TCEQ in Texas
The TCEQ has been using PerkinElmer Ozone Precursor Systems to collect hourly VOC data in Texas for 20 years and currently has 34 systems operating year round. This data is posted to their website hourly. Hourly data includes 46 target VOCs. Of the current new list of 57 priority and optional species, TCEQ is not currently monitoring the following:
• 2,3-Dimethylbutane
• 2-Methylpentane
• 3-Methylpentane
• m-Ethyltoluene
• p-Ethyltoluene
• o-Ethyltoluene
• m-Dimethylbenzene
• p-Dimethylbenzene
• n-Undecane
• α-pinene
• β-pinene
The systems they use have Nafion® so values for the pinenes would not be accurate. Other targets have been omitted based on low concentrations and issues with unreliable separation or co-elutions. The data collected at these monitoring sites is available on the web:
